Portrait_Arnaud_Dressen

A passionate entrepreneur and media innovator, Arnaud has a proven track record of empowering creators, institutions and brands with new storytelling formats and interactive technologies.

Prior to founding Honkytonk Films and Wonda VR, Arnaud has had numerous experiences in the media industry working subsequently for public media institutions (France Televisions Group, Arte France, and ITVS/USA), the documentary distribution start-up Vodeo.tv and a new-media press agency Article Z.

There, he worked with award-winning producer Patrice Barrat on several international co-productions (with broadcasters such as NYT Television, CBC Canada, or ITVS) and managed the company’s leading multimedia project madmundo.tv with the support from both public and private institutions (Open Society Institute UK, HEC school of management and Orange).

in 2007, Arnaud created Honkytonk Films, a digital production studio for which he lead the company’s award-winning approach to interactive documentaries with projects such as “Journey to The End of Coal” which was featured on French leading news site Lemonde.fr and MIT Docubase.

Based on his experience collaborating with video journalists, filmmakers, interactive designers and creative coders, he launched Klynt in 2011, one of the first interactive editing and publishing software dedicated to the creation of interactive videos for the web.

In 5 years, Klynt became one of the best-reviewed software chosen by more than 300 academic and training programs and by 10,000+ established media and creative professionals around the world.

Following up with the rise of more affordable VR technologies and 360° video camera, he founded Wonda VR in 2016 to develop a new kind of VR creation and distribution software platform with the goal to significantly lower the barriers to entry into this massively growing space.
